The Madabo Journal of Humanities operates a single-blind peer review system to ensure the quality, credibility, and academic integrity of all manuscripts submitted for publication. Under this system, the identities of the reviewers remain confidential, while reviewers are aware of the authors’ identities. This process helps maintain an objective and professional evaluation of scholarly work.
All manuscripts
submitted to the journal are first examined by the editorial team of the
Faculty of Humanities at Northwest University Kano to confirm that they fall
within the journal’s scope and meet the required academic and ethical
standards. Submissions that pass this preliminary assessment are then forwarded
to qualified reviewers who are experts in the relevant field of study.
During the review
process, reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on its originality, relevance
to the humanities, clarity of argument, methodological soundness, and overall
scholarly contribution. They provide constructive feedback and recommendations to
help improve the quality of the work where necessary.
Based on the
reviewers’ reports, the editorial board may decide to accept the manuscript for
publication, request minor or major revisions, or reject the submission.
Authors whose manuscripts require revisions are expected to carefully address
the reviewers’ comments and resubmit their work within the stipulated time. The
final decision regarding publication is made by the editorial board after
thorough consideration of the reviewers’ evaluations.
Through this single-blind review policy, the journal aims to uphold high academic standards and ensure that every published article makes a meaningful contribution to research in the humanities and related disciplines.
